Dr. Okore Okorafor is the Lead Consultant and Director of Forte Metrix Consulting. He has more than 15 years of experience as a health economist in the public and private sector. He has a solid background in the theoretical and practical aspects of health economics and health systems strengthening. 

Prior to establishing Forte Metrix Consulting Dr. Okorafor worked with the World Bank where he led and supported various World Bank health sector projects in Southern Africa. These projects required working with multiple sectors, stakeholders and governments to develop sustainable, collaborative and effective approaches to addressing health system challenges. 

Dr. Okorafor has worked in academia, and also as the Health Economist for a large international private hospital group with operations in three continents. With the private hospital group, his work focused on generating and using research evidence to inform the hospital group’s strategy and engagement with local and global health policy. 

Over the years, he has served as an independent consultant to various ministries of health in Africa, international organizations, non-governmental organizations and private sector institutions. These have been in areas such as equity in health financing, resource allocation, survey data analysis, capacity development, and planning in the health sector.
